If you are an active duty military member or veteran and have an undocumented spouse, parent, or child, act now before it’s too late!
There is a story in NPR today indicating that the Trump administration is moving to end an immigration program, known as Parole in Place, that benefits military families. The Parole in Place program allows the undocumented spouses, parents, and children of active duty military or veterans to apply for a legal status that puts them on the path to getting a green card and eventual citizenship. With its many military installations, we have assisted many military families in Hampton Roads, Virginia through this program. However, it appears that this program may not last much longer. We encourage any active duty military service member or veteran with undocumented family member to consult with an immigration lawyer and apply for Parole in Place before it is gone.
